The Women and Girls’ Summer meetings were held at Kirkcaldy Golf Club today (22nd June) on a day which saw heavy showers and a strong breeze.

Zara Lindsay from Kingsfield had the lowest net score of the day with a 70 (two under the course par), winning the Girls’ Summer meeting. Zara’s score was all the more impressive by the fact that she was out in the last group of the day which experienced some of the worst of the conditions.

Meanwhile, Alison Clark from Lochgelly won the Women’s Spring meeting with a net 71, winning by one shot from club-mate Ruth Kinnell. Gillian Paton from St Regulus Ladies Club had the lowest scratch score of the day with a three over par 75.

The next Girls competition is the Fife Junior Strokeplay Championship which is open to Boys and Girls and will be played at Aberdour on Friday 25th July. The Women and Girls’ Autumn meeting will then be held at Balbirnie Park on Sunday 17th August.
