Well done to all competitors who played in some very challenging weather conditions today, supporting this foursomes event for the Presidents Cup and which also doubled as the Commonwealth Spoons qualifier.

Congrats to Ann Shepherd & Rhona Wilson from Lochgelly GC who won the President’s Cup, pipping Ruth Kinnell & Linda Watson (Lochgelly GC) and Elaine McCallum & Margaret MacKenzie (Kirkcaldy GC) with all pairs having the same net score of 80.

Unfortunately Ann & Rhona are not available to represent Fife Golf at the Commonwealth Spoons finals and therefore Ruth & Linda will be our representatives at Baberton GC on 1 Sep – we wish them well in this event and hope they can return with the trophy which they won in 2023!

Our thanks go to Burntisland Golf House Club for courtesy of the course today, to the greens staff for the great course condition and to the bar & catering staff for seeing to the players needs before & after play.

Next women’s event is the Summer Meeting (individual strokeplay event) which is taking place at Kirkcaldy GC on Sunday 22 June – entries are open now and we would love to see more golfers from across Fife getting involved, so please do help us spread the word.
