Fife Golf Under 18s Matchplay Championships

The Matchplay stages of the Fife Golf Under 18s Championship took place today at Fairmont St Andrews, with competitors enjoying much more favourable conditions than those experienced during the qualifying round.

The weather was considerably quieter, with lighter winds and warm temperatures providing excellent conditions for golf. Thankfully, all matches were completed before the forecast rain arrived later in the day.

Every match was played in great spirit, with players competing hard from start to finish and several contests remaining closely fought throughout. The high standard of golf on display was a credit to all the juniors involved.

The Fairmont course was presented in superb condition, providing a fitting test for those battling for a place in the final.

Following today’s quarter-finals and semi-finals, the stage is now set for tomorrow’s championship decider. The final will tee off at 1:30pm on Thursday 30th July, well done to Jack Small and Sam Wilson on reaching the final.

Good luck to both finalists as they prepare for the final showdown at Fairmont St Andrews. 🏌️‍♂️⛳
