Good golf played by all competitors in great weather and superb course conditions. Thanks to Dunfermline for hosting us and to the greens team and bar/catering teams for all their hard work over the last 2 weekends.

Scratch final was contested by defending champion & 7 time winner, Elaine Moffat who was playing first time finalist Claire Muir. A closely contested game, played in great spirit that Elaine won 3&2 bringing her championship title tally to a very well deserved 8 – well done to both players for their efforts this weekend, 4 rounds of quality golf over 2 days in warm conditions is to be commended.

The handicap final was between Claire Westwood and 2024 runner up Sue Nicholson. Another well contested game, where Claire made her shots count and ran out with a 5&3 victory. Well done to both players on their efforts this weekend.

Thanks very much to everyone who competed this year and a final vote of thanks to Joan Peden for all her work behind the scenes before this event and for her support over the weekend.

The next women’s competitions are 1 June (foursomes competition at Burntisland for the Presidents Cup and qualifying for the Commonwealth Spoons) and 22 June the Summer Meeting at Kirkcaldy – entries are live on the Scottish Golf App and we hope to have more women join us at these upcoming events.
