We learned this weekend that one of our affiliated courses has sadly had to close its Clubhouse, Catering and recently opened Pro Shop with immediate effect from the 24th October, this is partly due to failed talks with St Andrews Links Trust and ongoing financial difficulties.

The course will remain open to its members and will look to secure a takeover which has also been extended to its members but has a deadline set of the 27th March 2027.

We are aware and are supportive of efforts being made to consider alternative arrangements to the takeover of the golf course at Elmwood before the date elapses. The course is home to supportive Fife Golf member clubs, SRUC Elmwood Golf, Elmwood Golfing Society and Edenfields, it is an important part of the local community which we sincerely hope can be preserved for years to come.
