The Fife Golfing Association has played a major role in shaping Scotland’s amateur golfing history.
With its origins dating back to at least the early 1900s, the Fife Golfing Association, along with some other Areas at the time, played a large part in the formative years of Scottish Amateur Golf.
It was formally instituted in 1908, thanks to the efforts of Mr Herbert Singer of the Mecca Club, St Andrews.
Fife Golfing Association has over 50 Member Clubs and Societies
The Clubs that make up the Association offer golfers of all standards the opportunity to learn, improve and enjoy the game. Joining one of these Clubs enhances the golfing experience by offering a sense of community and the chance to form lasting friendships.
The rich and varied landscapes of the courses, be they links, parkland or heathland, give individuals an opportunity to be as competitive as they want to be, or simply give the opportunity for them to enjoy their surroundings, forgetting all their cares.
